| 1 | From the NYS Thruway [Exit 31] take Rt. 790 toward Rt. 8/12 for about 2 miles |
| 2 | Take Rt. 8/12 (Horatio St.) north |
| 3 | Go north on Rt. 8/12 for 22.6 miles to Alder Creek -- veer right onto Rt. 28, following the signs to Old Forge |
| 4 | Stay on Rt. 28 for 36 miles, passing through Woodgate, Thendara and Old Forge |
| 5 | At Eagle Bay, turn left just past Tim's onto Big Moose Road [CR 1] |
| 6 | Take Big Moose Rd for 4.4 miles and watch for the Covewood driveway (Covey Road) on your right |
| 7 | If you pass the first entrance (just before the sign) you can catch the second entrance (just after the sign); if you go past the Big Moose Chapel, then you better turn around |
| 8 | Go down the Covey Road driveway for a quarter of a mile and turn right to cross the bridge over the Big Moose outlet |
| 9 | Summer guests proceed to
the end of the road till you reach the Main Lodge Winter guests stop at the large grey house on your left just after you cross the bridge |
