Covey's last building here at Big Moose. When he sold Covewood, Covey
retained one small parcel of land and built Bybrook for he and his wife.

outlet from nearly every room. The interior has a large living room with
stone fireplace, den, eat-in kitchen, three bedrooms, and two baths.
Birch paneling graces the kitchen, living room, and hallway. Two of the

Henry Covey is the
first cottage built here at Covewood. Earl Covey, his wife, Frances, and
Earl's father, Henry, lived here while the Lodge was under construction.
Once the main building was complete the Coveys took up residence there,
and this cottage was made available for guests. Henry Covey is a
two-story structure. The first floor has a kitchen, living room with
stone fireplace, enclosed porch, and master bedroom with private bath.
The second floor has two bedrooms (one with two twins and one with two

Outlet
|
Outlet hasn't
always been a vacation cottage. It was once occupied by the sawyer who
ran Mr. Covey's mill. The mill produced the lumber used in the Lodge and
cottages, and was located on the outlet a short distance downstream from
our bridge. Outlet was also located near the stream, but was moved to
its present location years ago. The move was a good one, as the cottage
now boasts some of the best lake views to be had anywhere on the
property.
Outlet is a
two-story building, with living room, kitchen, four bedrooms, and three
baths. The first floor has two bedrooms, one with two doubles and one
with two twins, and each with its own bath. On the second floor, one
room has two doubles and the other two twins. The second-floor bath is
accessible from the common hallway. Outlet is the only winterized
cottage with two stone fireplaces. One is located in the living room,
and the other is in the first-floor double bedroom.
