Have Your Wedding at Covewood
Eagle Bay, New York (May 21, 2005) Covewood is truly a unique setting for your special day. We're easily reached, yet remote enough to ensure your privacy. Our natural beauty complements the unhurried schedule we encourage. A typical banquet facility might allow you a single room for a very few hours, with another party scheduled immediately after yours. Your Covewood wedding spans an entire weekend, allowing you and your guests plenty of time to relax and enjoy our beautiful wilderness setting. Many of your guests may not have seen each other since the last family wedding; they'll appreciate the opportunity to spend some time together.

See our classifieds listing to the right for florists, caterers, bakers, photographers and other local resources to assist in preparation for your special day.
When to Have a Covewood Wedding
Covewood's summers are completely booked long in advance by our many repeat guests. As a result, the best times for weddings are late May, the first part of June (before the summer season begins), September, and October.

Accommodations
The Main Lodge can accommodate up to 25 guests. The cottages can provide additional accommodations for up to 87 people.
Specific cottage descriptions can be found in the summer Lodging section of the
Covewood Chronicle. Maximum occupancies must be observed due to health and fire codes. To find the rental rate for each cottage divide the summer weekly rental for the cottage by seven. This is the nightly rate. There is a two night minimum for cottage rentals. In addition, New York State has an 8% sales tax for rentals of less than a week.
Additional accommodations may be available at the Big Moose Inn (just 1 mile away) and the Waldheim (located across the lake - about a mile - or 3 miles by road | 315-357-2353)
Please Note: The bride and groom are responsible for arranging cottage assignments.
Packing
Be sure to remind your guests to bring toiletry items, flashlights, heavy sweaters/sweatshirts, and rain gear.  Guests requiring irons or similar items should provide their own, as we have a limited number available.   Many couples include an information sheet in their invitations outlining directions, local attractions, and a schedule of events for the weekend. We have samples sheets available.
Number of Guests
Wedding receptions at Covewood are limited to 150 guests. This is the maximum number that can be accommodated, assuming a buffet service.
